Downer, Dorothy Margaret ‘Dot’ (nee Stone) – Passed peacefully away at the GABU at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on January 27, 2021 in her 99th year. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Alton for 77 years. Cherished mother of Ronald Downer and his wife Donna and the late Sheala Johnston (survived by Jim). Proud grandmother of Chris Downer (Christine), Kelly Hull (Jody), Jen Johnston (Dor), Laurie Marshall (Bill) and Bob Johnston (Rachel). Great grandmother of Brady and MacKenzie Hull, Logan and Cameron Downer, Hayden and Lily Marshall, Emma, Alexis, Sophia, Ella, Emily and Fern Johnston, and the late Marigold Johnston. Survived by sister Madeline Downer (George – deceased) and sister-in-law Harriet Cardwell (Tom – deceased). Predeceased by her parents Melville and Ada Stone, brother Elwood Stone (Ellen), sister Irene Freeburn (Gord) and sister-in-law Viola Henderson (David). Due to the pandemic, our family will celebrate Dot’s life privately at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre. Interment to take place at Little Lake Cemetery.
