Earl Huffman Wellman

April 14, 1919 – August 31, 2011

Peacefully at PRHC Palliative Care, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 66 years, Jackie: his children, Sue (Tom Jones), Doug (Linda); his grandchildren, Barb Jones, Bonnie Jones-Mecrate, Richard Jones (Amy), Rob Jones (Jessica), Mike Wellman (Jennifer), Dr. Ange Wellman-Drysdale (Peter); and his great-grandchildren; Sondra and Victoria Jones, Madison and Walker Jones-Mecrate, Apsley and Eamon Jones, Olivia and Riley Wellman, Kate Drysdale. Dear brother of Helen (Gibson). Lovingly remembered by his nieces, Mary Mackay (Karl) and Lee Ross (Glenn). He lived a long and remarkable life with family and friends. After a working life at General Electric, he enjoyed 32 years of retirement. Winters were spent in Bradenton, Florida and summers at his ‘Panacea’ on Anstruther Lake, then Buckhorn Lake and lastly their condo at Camden Meadows. His passions were building things, his stone masonry, beekeeping, his vegetable and rose gardens and the bridge games with his retired friends at the Golf Club. The family wishes to thank the staff in the Emergency and Palliative Care Units of the PRHC for their wonderful care and kindness. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday beginning at 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, officiated by Rev.
