Elizabeth "Ruth" Tighe

TIGHE, (Elizabeth) Ruth passed away peacefully on August 28, 2019 with family near, after a courageous battle with cancer. Always to be loved by her husband Peter, son Alan, daughter Stacey (Marino Gianfrancesco) and her amazing grandsons Luciano and Ivano. Lovingly remembered by her sister Fran (Garnett Fortnum) of Saskatoon, brothers Alan and Hugh of Revelstoke, sister-in-law Christine Wright of Lethbridge, sister-in-law Joanne of Prince George and especially her 96 year old Aunt Grace of Victoria. Ruth was a true friend to all. Always willing to listen with compassion and offering a supportive thought when it was appropriate. In addition to her love of people was her fondness for all God’s animals. We teased her for feeding the birds which brought them closer for the cats to play with. Cremation arrangements are by Comstock’s with the place and date of internment yet to be decided. Should family and friends wish to honour Ruth’s life, we encourage a donation to the animal shelter nearest to your heart.
