Peacefully, on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in her 97th year at Springdale Country Manor. Daughter of the late Arthur and Rhoda Downer. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Howard Dawes. Loving mother of Jane and David Allison, Janice and Wayne Martichenko, and Ted and Holly Dawes all of Peterborough. Proud Ma of Sarah Jane (Dave), Douglas (K.J.), Frannie (Jeremy), Nick (Jen), Dan (April), Corey, Chris, and Caitlyn (Curtis). Loving great-grandmother of Meredith, Spencer, Allison, J.D., Hunter, Claire, Charlotte, Harper, Cate, and Dawson. Sister-in-law of Isabella Downer and Vin Downer. Aunt Fran is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic restrictions, a private family service will be held on Wednesday, August 25th. The family extends their deep appreciation to the staff of Rubidge Retirement Residence and Springdale Country Manor for their kindness and care.
