

Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with his family by his side on Saturday, September 15, 2012 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Barbara Alice (nee Clay) for over 64 years. Proud and loving father of John (Lisa); best Papa ever of Jennifer (David), Ryan (Tiffany) and Laura; loving great-Papa of Madison. Dearly loved brother of Ron (Joan); niece Lesley (Dave); great-uncle of Hannah and Ben. Glen was predeceased by his parents Jim and Elsie Davies. He will be remembered by his many friends, especially his very close friends Don & Marie Ferguson, Gord & Joan Wilson and Jim McNeely. Glen brought his wife Barbara to Canada in 1951 and worked as a draftsman with CGE for 38 years before retiring in 1987. He was a proud member of the UEW soccer team, a tenor for the All Saints’ Anglican church choir for about 40 years. Glen was a dedicated and loyal Director of Kawartha Credit Union, Bd. Of Directors, for almost 43 years (9 of those as Chair). He loved golfing, curling and he volunteered with the Atom hockey tournaments and coaching All Saints’ hockey. A very special thank you to the staff at Springdale Country Manor, Dr. Douglas Turner, staff at PRHC (especially Erin, Angela, Joe and Jennie), Reverend Canon Milton Barry, Fr. Geoff Howson and Suzanne McMillan. Friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at ALL SAINTS’ ANGLICAN CHURCH, 235 Rubidge Street. Cremation to follow.
