At Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, October 27, 2018.
Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Perry (2004). Dear mother of Heather Rule (John Oleksiuk). Much loved Nana of Kathleen Dyson (Gordon Glenn) and David Briggs (Eryn Davison). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews who were in awe of her amazing memory for family details as were we all. Predeceased by her siblings Bill, George, Bert, Lloyd, John, Lillian, Helen, Kathleen and Grace, Heather’s father Jack Rule, and her dear friend Dan Clydesdale.
Born in Cochrane, Ontario, the daughter of Agnes Helena Bowes and William Alfred Morgan. A dedicated employee of Royal Bank for 35 years. She enjoyed her interactions with the public and loved helping her customers. Life member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary Branch 52, member of the Scarlet Belles Chapter of the Red Hats and the Baden Powell Guild. A lifelong admirer of Queen Elizabeth II, Gwen was an enthusiastic participant in any royal wedding events . Proud of her Welsh heritage, she was a member of the Welsh Society in Peterborough when it was active. For several years, a love for antiques became a business, meeting people and making new friends. Gardening, attending church, and playing the piano filled her time. A kind and generous person with a sparkling personality, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her lovely cat Gretchen.
A Memorial Service will be held at the COMSTOCK-KAYE Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 12 p.m. Visitation one hour prior with reception to follow.
