It is with heavy hearts that the family announce his peaceful passing. Jim grew up in Ottawa and resided in Peterborough. Born to the late James and Rose Cotter.
He will be forever missed by his Number 1 squeeze Doreen of 67 years. Doting father to his Number 2 squeeze Kim (Wayne). Proud Poppa to his only grandson Matthew (Lily), and his Number 3 squeeze Natalie (Byron). He loved getting art from his great granddaughter Autumn and she loved when he teased her.
Loving brother to Peggy (Paul (deceased), and John (Betty Ann). Predeceased by his sisters Rose and Patsy. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Jim spent his over 39 years in retirement travelling in his adored motor home with the love of his life. In his spare time he was found in the Auburn Village workshop doing carpentry. His beautiful creations are loved by so many.
"There's no way around grief and loss: you can dodge all you want, but sooner or later you just have to go into it, through it, and, hopefully, come out the other side. The world you find there will never be the same as the world you left."- Johnny Cash
A very special thank you to Dr Blake and the palliative care team at PRHC.
Cremation has taken place and as per Jim’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral.
As an expression of sympathy donations to CNIB foundation, or PRHC foundation would be greatly appreciated.
