EARLE, James Richard “Jim” – Passed peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Monday, July24, 2017 with his family at his side. James of Peterborough, formerly of Scarborough and Winnipeg in his 68th year. Loving husband of Shirley for 37 years. Son of the late Grace (Morrow) and Richard Earle. Beloved brother of Barbara Earle and the late “Peggy” Margaret Tarkington (late Ross). Loving uncle of Karen Todd (Barry) and sons Jason and Matthew and the late Donna Hurcomb (Steve). He will be remembered by many other relatives and friends, especially his life-long friend Jim White of Wawa. A graduate of Trent U and a long time CPR Employee. Jim was a gentle gardener who loved all creatures, great and small. He will be missed by his cats, Emma and Bramwell and the backyard blue jays and chipmunks. Jim was very interested in politics, Canadian and U.S., he loved to travel, enjoyed tennis matches, backyard bbq’s, and 70’s tunes. Jim fought a courageous battle with cancer and, right to the end, kept smiling and thanking those who helped him and leaving his special notes signed “Love Jim”.
