Passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her family at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on December 28, 2016 in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Ronald for 45 years. Loving mother of Jason Brown of Ottawa and Shannon Kurz and her husband Jason of Peterborough. Cherished Nanny of Trinity and Charity Kurz and Samson Roy. Dear sister of Kevin Mahar and his wife Mary, Doug Mahar and his wife Muriel, Dianne Gallant and her husband William and the late Carol Ann Mahar, Gary Mahar (survived by Lorraine Mahar) and Lorne Mahar (survived by Dianne Benoit-Mahar). Fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law Roy and his wife Karen, Wayne Brown and his wife June and sister-in-law Marilyn Brown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street. A Mass to Celebrate Janet’s Life will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains, 411 Reid Street.
