Joan Rusk was my mom.  I will and still do miss her a lot.  I still have my little video on dad's  old cellphone and when I need to hear her voice all I have to do is listen to it and I also  can see her picture too.

I didn't  go to the funeral  or to cemetery  either . Aunt Helen, dad, John Turner, the minister and Kaye Funeral  home people  including Ron Kaye were all there.  I however stayed in the downtown for eight hours. I knew that I just couldn't  go and be with everyone just  then. My Aunt Helen  was very mad at me all the same.  I chose  to  deal with this situation in my way  by going to the  cementary  a while later with Penny Carson ,dad, John and I by going and taking some pictures  and planting some flowers on the grave.  

I am very grateful  for all of the people who  got to know her just the same. Thank You all who contributed  to  knowing her and loving her too.

The most that I will never forget is all of the times that she played with me when there wasn't  anyone to play or be with my own age, like in the summer when my friends were gone on vacation  with their families.  There she was  to play with or be with when she wasn't  busy with lots of things to do in the house.

You Are The Best  Mom In The World. 

I love you a whole lot  and I always  will.

Condolences to Richard and Robin.  My nights at work usually involved a cup of tea and chit chat. Joanie will be missed. Xo

Dear Richard & Robin,

Marcee, my wee Chihuahua, and I were so saddened to hear of Joan's passing.  She was one of our all time favourite residents.  Joan had an incredible love of animals and Marcee loved her right back with equal devotion.  I loved Joan's gentle nature and her positiveness.  Those qualities are in short supply in our world today.  Truly, Joan will be missed by both Marcee and myself and by everyone who was fortunate enough to have met her along her journey.  She was no minnow in the steam of life.
