BRANSON, John Thomas ~ Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Reginal Health Centre on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Janet Branson (née McPhate) for almost 40 years. Loving father of Paul Branson, Catherine Branson; step-father of Jennifer Elliott and Jason Jones. Proud grandpa to Hayden, Mya, Makayla, Alexis and Parker. Predeceased by his sister Norma (Bob Millen) and their daughter Kim, brother-in-law Ron and sister-in-law Dorothy. John was a proud Lakefield Grove School Alumni. He was the Owner and Operator of Branson Machine and Tool Co. John’s greatest passion was for music, he was in many choirs and was part of the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra. He also enjoyed entertaining residents at local nursing homes and around the community. He even had the nurses at PRHC enjoying his vocal talents and kept them entertained until the end. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Thank you to the staff at PRHC – C2 for your wonderful care for John and keeping him comfortable.
