John "Jack" James Morrissey

Peacefully at his home, on Saturday, January16th, 2016 at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband of Marie (née Widdis). Dear brother to Jim Morrissey (David) and his family. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Helen (née Cadigan). Dear son-in-law of Ann Widdis (late Pat), and brother-in-law of Patricia Mongraw(David), Brian Widdis(Jean) and the late Gary Widdis. Proud uncle of Emily, Sarah, Jared, Daniel, Dana(Brent) and Dale (Jen); and great uncle of Aryca, Calum, Lilli, and Taylor. Sadly missed by many friends, relatives and neighbours. Jack was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus with Immaculate Conception, Council 12418 and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus Sir Knight Aubrey Allen Assembly 2571.

Prior to his retirement Jack worked at St. Joseph’s hospital for 36 years. Special thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors at Kingston General Hospital and PRHC Palliative Care, friends Vince & Sharon, Bob & Joyce and close neighbours; for their kindness and care.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 6- p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 5:45 p.m. at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL CHAPEL’, 539 George Street North. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 386 Rogers street, on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
