Lori Ann Girard Chambo

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lori Ann Chambo (nee Girard) at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday March 17, 2025 at the age of 64 with family by her side. Lori will be missed by all who knew her. Lori’s life was one of love and dedication. She was a loving partner of the late Philip Nicholls, Cherished mother to Alisha (Matt) Gleeson and Ashley (Cameron Keddie) Chambo. Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her immediate family; she was a dear sister to John Girard, Paula (Harry) Richardson and Michele (Carl Ballam) Gonder, and a cherished daughter of Paul and the late Margaret Girard.

Lori’s compassion extended into her professional life as well. A registered practical nurse (RPN), she dedicated many years to caring for others demonstrating her inherent empathy and nurturing spirit.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that reaches many. Lori will be lovingly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews, Julie (Brian Ball) Moran, Adam Moran, Jessie Stroud, Jeffrey (Jenna) Gonder, Courtney Gonder, Destiny (Mike) Warner, and Cooper Girard.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Ashburnham Funeral Home on Friday, April 4th, 2025, from 10-11 am. A Memorial Service to follow in the chapel at 11 am. Reception to follow. Lori’s memory will be a comforting presence for all those whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
