It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn Ardell Morris at the age of 67 on Monday, February 17th at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. After a difficult battle with cancer, we are at peace to know that she is no longer suffering. Lynn was born on June 17th, 1957 in Kirkland Lake. She was predeceased by her loving parents Norman and June Morris and her beloved brother Dale, all of Kirkland Lake, ON. Lynn leaves to mourn many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends across the province. For over 30 years, Lynn called Peterborough home. After receiving a job at PRHC, she would go on to work as a Lab Technician until retirement. Lynn will be remembered among those she leaves for her impeccable taste, her quick wit, and her lifelong love of music. Blues was Lynn’s life, and her knowledge of the North American blues scene was encyclopedic. Her support for musicians in Peterborough and beyond is as much a part of her legacy as is the kindness and generosity she showed her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Social Pub (295 George St.) on April 13 from 1 pm - 4 pm with performances by members of the Peterborough music community that Lynn admired and supported over the years.
