Liz used to read to me when I was younger, everytime we went to the cottage up in haliburton we'd find the best Stephen king book and finish it. my first bank account was attached to hers, no matter where I was in life she was proud of me, she was always there when I needed her, she would always drop what she was doing to make sure I was ok, I am one of the luckiest men alive to have been raised by her and her family, I have yet to meet people with the same, love, care and integrity as these people, I miss youLiz, and I love you. Until we meet again..........

So sorry to hear of Liz's death.  I will be thinking of you all on Tuesday when you gather to remember your sister.

I remember well, the first time I had the honor of meeting Liz. Roger, Crystal, Curtis and I had gone to spend the weekend with John and Donelda at the farm in Cavan.  We connected right on the spot.  I loved her infectious laugh and she was always so loving and caring with everyone.  
She always listened and took the time to make the moments you spent with her so special. My heart is sad that we have not had a lot of opportunity to spend time together over the last few years.  Yet every time we would meet, we'd pick up from the last time as if it were days instead of a couple of years since we had last been together - that is a true friendship! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very challenging time.  Celebrate the life of this outstanding woman and be truly thankful for the part she played in so many lives.

I knew Elizabeth as a member of a book club I am in. I knew her as a book lover, story teller and a generous woman; I spent several getaway times at her cottage for which she would never accept cash payment.

While I was growing up and I had taken quite a few" spells" I remember Elizabeth asking " have you taken a spell?" Now when my son is acting silly I find myself using those exact same words. 
Elizabeth's sayings are only one of the things I will remember about this great lady.
I remember her taking me in when I needed a home. I remember her generosity and I remember how much I looked forward to "going to breakfast"
To the entire MacKenzie family; I am terribly sorry for your loss.
Rest in Peace Elizabeth. You were taken way too soon.
