M. Jean Beaton (nee Dingman) passed away peacefully at the PRHC on Dec 28. Michael rowed the boat ashore and she is now dancing on it. Beloved wife of the Reverend D.A. (Sandy) Beaton, mother to Drew (Holly) and Dave (Katie), and the late Laura Beaton. Also mourned by her brother Gordon (Bobbie), grandchildren Hannah, Isaac, Cailleach, Zander, Sam and Skye. Missed by sister-in-law Magi and brothers-in-law Bill (Shirley) and Michael. Jean was an active elder at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, a member of the Bible Study group, book club and session. Her faith guided her throughout her life, was a quiet inspiration to others, and comforted her greatly at the end. Her unconditional love was foundational to her family and her generosity was epic. Her mischievous sense of humour has been cherished by all and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks for donations to St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31 at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, 1140 St Pauls St, Peterborough, followed by a lunch in the church hall.
