Lil was the kindest person ever! Had known her since 1969 and loved golfing with her. I was out of country when I heard of her passing, so sorry to miss the service.

Hi Beth, Mike and family.  I'm sending my love to you.  Your mom was the top shelf Beth!  She came 'round to my office every time she was in the building to show me pics of your gorgeous kids. So shocked and sorry to hear about Lil. She was a great person and so friendly and helpful to those younger students like me. I was one of the Junior class when Lil was a Senior at Peterborough Civic. I have seen her for short chats here and there and she always was the same Lil over the years. She sure will be missed. Dear Beth, Mike, John and Tina

Just before Christmas Alex and I were filled with anticipation as we opened your Mom's Christmas card to us. It read "Family and friends are the gifts we cherish even more at Christmas".  Inside the card was Lil's annual update about her children, and grandchildren of whom she was so proud. A few minutes later, we were shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news.  As she loved her family dearly, Lil also cared deeply for her friends and the thousands of patients she looked after as an RN over several decades.  Lil showed an amazing interest in everyone with a photographic memory for names and faces and always lots of funny stories. We will cherish our fond memories of Lil and miss her dearly.  We wish we could be there. We will keep you in our prayers for comfort and peace during this difficult time.

The Wellness Centre lap swim wont be the same without Lils cheerful smile and chit chats.

John, Tina, Beth and Mike.  Lil was a great golfing buddy and a special,caring friend of mine and my late sister Marion Ackford, and my sons Ron and Steve.  I will always remember Lil, in the skits at the Golf and Curling Clubs.  We had so much fun together.  She will be missed by her loving family and many friends so much!!

We were deeply saddened to learn of Lill's sudden passing. She was very special to us through her being the "Bride's Maid" at our wedding and attending our 50th anniversary celebration in Peterborough. We are sorry that we cannot be with you for Lill's funeral.

Our sincere condolences to Lill's Family. We were shocked to learn of her passing. We are both High School Friends in Fenelon Falls and have fond memories of lots of fun with Lill. We know what a terrific golfer and curler she was and how much she cared for all her family and friends.  As a nurse she was born to care.
