Mary Eileen Cousineau

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Eileen Cousineau announces that she passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 13th, 2025 at the age of 85 surrounded by her 4 children. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Gary of 66 years and was a beloved mother of Jeff (Derlyne), Angel (Carey), Andrea (Brian) and Colleen. Cherished Nanna to her 7 grandchildren Adam, Ryan, Jefferey, Jessica, Kelli (predeceased), Joseph and Amie and her 9 great grandchildren Emma, Mary, Delilah, Darius, Lucas, Isabella, Caleb, Blake and Finley. She will be sorrily missed by her sisters Theresa and Doreen and her sister in law Karen as well as her many nieces and nephews. Dearly loved by and fondly Remembered as Ma to Bryan Post, Steven DiLauro and Kimberly Cousineau. Mom was the sweetest purest person and was loved by all that had the honour of knowing her. She touched so many lives with her beautiful soul and loving nature. She was a true angel on earth and Family meant everything to her and she showed it everyday and in every way.

The family would like to thank the palliative care team at PRHC for their loving care and compassion in her final journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 7, 2025 from 1-4 pm at the Peterborough Lions Club, 347 Burnham Street, Peterborough. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that donations be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You will be missed.
