Maureen Storey

Maureen's family announce with sorrow her passing at Victoria Manor, on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Dwight Storey. Daughter of the late Daniel and Bridget Kennedy. The last of 9 children, Maureen is predeceased by her sisters Maude Gosselin (Tom), Loretta Sullivan (Vince), Lila Fitzgerald (Maurice), Marita Heffernan (George), Zita Clare (Leo); and her brothers Francis "Bud" (Anne), Joseph "Dub" (Barbara),and Gordon Kennedy. Cherished Aunt of Leon, Ruth, Phyllis, Margaret, Robert, Mary, Peter, Kate, Jill, Catherine , Louise, Mary Anne, Paul, and predeceased by her nephews Vernon, Elmer, and nieces Roxie, Janis and Mary C. Lovingly remembered by many great nieces and nephews, also great-great nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Peterborough, Maureen relocated to Toronto, where she enjoyed a lengthy career with Ontario Labour Congress and Ontario Federation of Labour. In late 2021, she relocated to Victoria Manor in Lindsay.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at 2 pm., at the Cathedral of St. Peter-In-Chains, 411 Reid St., Peterborough, K9J 6Y8. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, 870 High St., Peterborough, K9J 5R2. Reception to follow at COMSTOCK-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge St., Peterborough K9H 4C7.(If you are unable to attend at the cemetery, the family invites you to join them at the reception).
