“Salt of the earth”, in reference to a person, describes someone who is unwaveringly decent, honest, and good. Look up “salt of the earth” in the dictionary and you’ll find Peter’s picture there.
Loving husband of Margaret for 66 years, devoted father of Cathy, Janet, and Peter, and very proud Grandpa of Michelle, Christopher, Brittany, Olivia, and Chloe. Peter worked hard his entire life. He built two family homes and his beloved cottage on Stoney Lake. Ever resourceful, he also taught us all that there were very few things that couldn’t be fixed with duct tape. Peter’s kind and gentle soul will be missed, but never forgotten.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the B6 medical unit at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. To Dr. Emily Robson, an extraordinarily kind and caring physician, thank you for being there.
To celebrate a life well-lived and remember the happy times, a gathering for family and friends will be held at The Peterborough Naval Association, 24 Whitlaw Street, Peterborough, ON, on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
