Richard John Harvey

Dear Family and Friends, It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Richard John Harvey, who was born on October 19, 1954, and passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, at the Peteborough Hospice, surrounded by his immediate family.

Richard was a devoted and loving husband to Candace, a proud father to Crystal (Harvey) Jones and David Harvey (Laurie Thompson), and a cherished grandfather to Charlotte and Ethan Jones, Calvin, Hope, and Abigail Harvey. He was also a joyful great-grandfather to Makenna and Natalia Jones, who brought him so much happiness.

Richard was a wise, kind, and steady presence — an amazing son, patient and loving father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, and a loyal friend. His warmth, humour, and deep love for family will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Marilyn Harvey-Heinz (Don Heinz), Dawn (Clement) Harasym deceased, Michael Harasym, Cori Clement (Murdy Stratford), Cathy (Clement) McDougall (Rob Piette), Sandi (Clement) (Barry Surtees), Sue (Clement) (Earl King), Vickie Boissineau-Berlinguette (Ron Berlinguette, deceased), and Diane (Heino) (Brian Turco); his brothers Arnold Heino and Lawrence Boissineau; his sisters-in-law Fern Ruttan, Sonia Baker (John Kitchen), Leitha Perry (Don, deceased), and Wanita Ruttan; and his brother-in-law Gary Ruttan (Irene).

Richard will be deeply missed and forever loved. A celebration of life will be held this summer, and more information will be shared as plans are finalized. With love and gratitude, The Harvey Family
