He was predeceased by his wife, Joy (nee Seymour), with whom he shared over 51 fun filled years. He treasured time spent with his children Sue (Pierre) Faubert, Doug (Cindy) Wilson, Nancy (Claudio) Coppola and all of their friends. He was a beloved 'Gramps' to Jacob & Isaac Faubert and Joshua & Drew Wilson, who were fascinated by his many stories and antics.
At 87 years of age his circle includes in-laws, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Ric was a man of many hidden talents - he was an artist, woodworker, card shark, Jeopardy whiz, lover of history and, in his youth, he even got his pilot's license! He was always willing to try new things and loved travelling to different places and meeting new people.
Those who crossed paths with him, even if only for a short time, came to love him.
Those who knew him best heard many of his stories (sometimes more than once).
Those who were in conversation with him will miss his challenging questions and his 'Rickisms' (all his unique sayings).
Those who loved him know how much richer our lives have been by having him in our lives.
Ric was a proud volunteer at PRHC and lived from a place of gratitude and service. His family extends deep thanks to the wonderful Staff in Emerg and B3 for the compassionate care. Special thanks also to our amazing network of family and friends. Being surrounded by respectful and supportive people makes a huge difference!
Ric was inspired by his faith and strengthened by his relationship with the folks at Springville/Bailieboro United Church over the years. A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday July 9th, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Keene United Church, 30 North St. Keene, ON.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ric's memory can be made directly to the PRHC Foundation: Urgent Care or a charity of your choice or through the funeral home at www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca
