KING, RUTH (ne´e Merritt) - Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, after a stay at St. Joseph's At Fleming, on Sunday, July 1, 2012. Ruth, formerly of Ottawa, Toronto and recently of Peterborough, in her 86th year. Devoted wife of Bud for 63 years. Proud mother of Kathryn (the late Walter), Terrence, Jeffery, Leslie (Marlene) and Scott. Grandma to Michael, Erika, Christopher, Chelsey, Teagan, Melissa, Courtney, Daniel, Jessica, Jeremy, Shannon and great grandma to Aurora. Ruth will be missed by many friends and neighbors. Predeceased by her sister and brother. Relatives and friends may call at Community Alternative Funeral Home 83 Hunter Street West, on Thursday July 5, 2012 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m in the chapel.
