At Fairhaven Long Term Care on Tuesday June 28, 2022 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter Forbes Russell. Loving mother of David (Iris), Karen (Dave), Jim (Heather) and Judy (Tom). Dear grandmother of Courtney, Matt, Kathryn, Trevor, Warren, Kendra, Kristen, Scott, Jeff, Eric and great grandmother of 13. Predeceased by her grandson Sheldon, her brother William Wilson and her sister Dora Wilson.
Ruth enjoyed many activities including traveling, boating, crafts, cards and games. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the Petes and the Lakers. In her earlier years, hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be held at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Wednesday July 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Thursday July 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Lakefield Cemetery.
In memory of Ruth, if desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Breast Cancer Society of Canada or to a charity of their choice.
