HOTTON, Shirley May (nee Porter) – Passed away at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday December 9, 2024 at 89 years of age. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Mansel, following their reunion after being apart for many years. Daughter of the late Gordon and Vera Porter. Loving mother of May Dickinson, Dorinda Adrian (Daryl), Kim Hotton, Eugenia Hotton and the late Keith and Glenn Hotton. Dear grandmother of Jenna, Matthew, Nicole, Irene, Aaron, Laura, Ashley, Shirley Ellen, Steven and the late Ryan. Great grandmother of 16. Sister of Gene Porter (Marg), Bob Porter, Betty Porter and the late Joan Brown and Gladys Worley. Following Shirley’s death in December her ashes were placed with Mansel’s at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Shirley’s life at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Saturday April 26, 2025 at 1:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow the service. In memory of Shirley if desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Diabetes Association or MADD Canada.
