S.Maria Bogdana Teresa Nienałtowska

Sister Bogdana Teresa Nienałtowska died peacefully surrounded by her religious Sisters at home in the Convent on Thursday May 2nd in the 68th year of Religious Life. Sister Bogdana was 92 years old. Sisters Bogdana made her first profession as a Sister of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ on August 15th, 1951 and Perpetual Vows on the August 12th, 1956.

Sister worked as an Early Childhood and Catechetical teacher in Poland. In 1977 Sister came to Canada and worked until her retirement in 2004 in the Diocesan Religion Office and the Archives of the Diocese.

Visitation will be held at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains 411 Reid Street, Peterborough on Monday May 6th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains on Tuesday May 7th at 10:30 am. The next funeral mass for Sister Teresa will be held at the Parish of Our Lady of Czestochowa (M. Bożej Czestochowskiej), 2550 Gascon Ave, Montreal, May 8th at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Le Repos Saint-Francois D’Assise, Montreal. The Sisters of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ would like to thank Dr. Beamish, the Nurses and PSWs of St. Elizabeth Health Care and Comstock- Kaye’s for their loving care.
