

1934 - 2023
Tom passed away very peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit on November 23, 2023. He is survived by his wife Norma Lucy (Redhead) and his son Scott Lucy (Holly), his stepchildren, Robert Redhead (Wanda), Catherine Bodrug (David), Jeffrey Redhead (Kris Erstling). Tom was predeceased by his first wife Shirley Lucy (2003).
He will be missed by his nine grandchildren, Daralyn Marshall (Nick), Samuel Redhead (Anna), Shannon Ottonen (Markus), William Redhead (Jordyn), Charlene Bodrug, Thomas Bodrug, Krista Plumton (Darrel), Cheryll Fillmore (Mike), Robyn Webb (Matt), and his eleven great grandchildren, Peyton, Emmett, Evan, Brynlea, Ryan, Brooklyn, Blakely, Ryleigh, Boden, Autumn, and Damien.
He will be mourned deeply by family friend, Susan Redhead, Sister-in-Law Gail & Brother-in-Law Mike Brown, and family, Sister-in-Law, Edith Lucy, and family, his many nieces & nephews, and cousin Edward Cox.
Tom was born in Toronto to Olive & Fredrick Lucy and was the youngest of a family of six children. He was predeceased by his brothers, Bill, Gordon, Ted, and his sisters Gwen and Kay.
Tom worked at General Electric for 40 years in the Marketing Department. He loved his job and was proud to be part of a family friendly workplace. Encouraged by GE, Tom was one of the first students to be enrolled in part time studies at Trent University, a new university just starting up in Peterborough. He graduated in 1970 with a BA in English Literature.
Tom loved sports, played in the GE Basketball League, played lacrosse, and in the summer, golfed at Kawartha Golf & Country Club. He was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey team. After retirement he took up the sport of Metal Detecting and found many treasures over the years.
There will a reception and Celebration of Tom's Life at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Wednesday November 29th between 2-4 p.m.
