After a lengthy illness at Peterborough Manor Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 93 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Cynthia Murphy (November 29, 1995) for 48 years. Dear Dad of Martin and his wife Kathy and the late Christopher (June 15, 1992). Loving Grandpa of Melanie, Michael, Alex (Kelly) and Andrew; and great-Grandpa of Samantha. Tom was a dear friend of Joan Leigh and the late Gwen Minaker (2010) and her daughter Holly McGill; cousin of Marjorie Stones and Derrick Parker both of Leeds, England and uncle of Nicholas Crowther of Denholme, Yorkshire, England. Tom was a member of the British Forces in World War II. Prior to his retirement he worked for Armstrong Corporation. Visitation will take place on Monday from 6-9 pm and 11:30 am until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 pm Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street.
