Violet Myrtle Walker

Myrtle passed away after a lengthy illness at the Riverview Manor in Peterborough, Ontario on Friday, June 10, 2016 in her 84th year. Beloved sister of Bruce and Monica Walker of Boulter, Ontario. She will be deeply missed by her dear friend Pat, her Aunt Francis and cousins Diane Jarvis and Sharon Johnston. Violet made many friends during her years of employment with Bell Canada as an overseas long distance operator. We know that she will be greatly missed. Violet, affectionately known as ‘Mert’, loved to travel and especially enjoyed Bermuda. She was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the boys of summer. Her dog Truble gave her many hours of pleasure and companionship

The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL CHAPEL’, 539 George Street, Peterborough. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Violet will be interred in Parry Sound where she spent many happy summers with her family.
