Lee Roy Fischer

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. noon until service time on Saturday. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.

Lee Roy was born on February 13, 1932, in Lee County, Texas to Erich W. Fischer and Bertha Schmidt. Lee Roy served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Shortly after his military service, he went to work for 7-Eleven. He worked for 7-Eleven and retired after 25 plus years of employment.

Lee Roy was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He loved being with his grandchildren and enjoyed going out to dinner with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was watching baseball and football.

Preceding Lee Roy in death were his parents and five brothers, Elwood, Elton, Curtis, Harvey and Willard Fischer; and his daughter, Deborah.

Survivors include his son, Michael Fischer and his wife Maria of Littleton, Colorado; his grandchildren, Ashley Rae Fischer of Naples, Florida and Austin Michael Fischer of Littleton, Colorado; brother, Myron Fischer and his wife Kathryn, of Austin, Texas; sisters, Norma Fischer of Austin, Texas and Allene Dixon and her husband James of Gatesville, Texas; and brother Willard’s wife, Linda Fischer of Hillsboro, Texas; brother Curtis' wife, Mary Fischer of Sacramento, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be given to cancer research.
