Alfonso Cedillo — loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend — left us to be with the Lord on Nov. 4, 2024. Al was born on October 30, 1948, in Bryan, Texas, to Vicente and Antonia Cedillo. He was the youngest of six children. Al celebrated his 76th birthday just before his passing.
Al proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1974, as a corrosion control specialist on airplanes. After his service, he returned to Texas and from 1984 to 2018, he owned and operated Al’s Body Works in Austin, where he continued to apply his skills and craftsmanship.
Al was dedicated to using his wisdom and life experiences to mentor and guide others through their own journeys. One of Al’s greatest joys was spending time with his three grandchildren, sharing laughter and love with them. When he wasn’t with family, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on country roads with his buddies.
Al is survived by Bonnie, his wife of 42 years, daughter Candace, her husband Kevin, grandsons Austin, Calen, and Devin, daughter Alexa, her husband Steven, granddaughter Amelia, sisters Agnes and Lucy, and many nieces and nephews.
