She was born in Taylor County, Texas, on August 21, 1932, to parents Eugene and Daisy (Price) Coggin. She graduated from Ball High in Galveston, Texas. In April of 2012, she married her husband, John C. Jennings.
Alma worked for the Texas Employment Commission for 37 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Pflugerville.
Alma was devoted to her family, and especially enjoyed being a grandmother. Among her other passions, she was an enthusiastic bridge player.
Alma was survived by her husband John C. Jennings and her son Ralph Harrington, sibling Jim and Rebecca McGinnis, her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her children Alan Harrington, Daisy Suzanne Harrington, and her sister Dorothy McGinnes.
A visitation for Alma will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A committal service will occur Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
