Anna Lee Owens, age 89, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2020 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born in Bryan, Texas on June 6, 1931. Anna Lee graduated from Waco High School in 1950. She was married to Billy Glen Owens on September 23, 1950. They had two sons Richard Glen Owens and Randall Wade Owens.
Anna Lee worked as an administrator for many years at the Railroad Commission before retiring in 1974. Anna Lee and Bill were members of First Baptist Church in Round Rock, where they enjoyed worshiping and spending time with friends. Creating a warm home for her family was a priority for her. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family wherever she was, whether it be at home or on vacation. She also was a master seamstress and loved sewing for her family. She enjoyed painting, gardening, and of course cooking. She believed if it was worth doing, it was worth doing with excellence.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Owens, her son, Rick Owens, as well as her father, mother, and sister. She is survived by her son Randy Owens and his wife Sharon, and her daughter-in-law Ann Owens. Grandchildren: Adam Owens, Andrew Owens and wife Carmen, Ryan Owens and wife Abby, and Courtney Ohendalski and her husband Ryan. She has eight great grandchildren: Mallory, Conner, and Parker Owens. Remi, Rhett and Rory Ohendalski. Emma and Lexi Owens.
We would like to acknowledge the caregivers at Franklin Park for their professional and loving care of Anna Lee. We would also like to thank the nursing staff at Saint David’s Hospital in Round Rock for their compassionate care in her final days.
