Annette Jewell Henderson

In 1954, Annette met the love of her life, John Rufus Henderson, a service member in the United States Army. Throughout the next twenty-plus years, Annette and her family traveled to various parts of the world, including France, Germany, and Panamа, along with several duty stations within the United States. After her husband's retirement from the United States Army, they settled in San Antonio, Texas.

Annette was an active member of Antioch Baptist church for many years. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, dominoes, listening to music, and enjoying life to its fullest. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Sammie Ester and Alsada Breeding Moore; her husband, John Rufus Henderson; two daughters, Barbara Ann Henderson Medlock and Joanie Ruth Henderson; and one grandson, Brandon Ray Southern. She leaves to cherish her loving memory one daughter, Sharon C. Henderson Green (Finley), three grandsons, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Annette will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
