Arthur was born on August 23, 1934, in Austin. He is predeceased by his parents, Manuel and Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Elvira, his daughter, Diana Rhoades, and his sons Arthur, Jr. (Jonathan Lee) and Russell (Lori); his grandchildren (Daniel, Jennifer, Francesca, Kristian, Rocco, and Nova) and great-grandchildren (Daniel, Jr., Luke, Marcus, and Josiah); and his sister, Bertha Lloyd, and lots of nieces and nephews throughout the state of Texas.
In his professional life, Arthur was a printer/platemaker and worked at Steck Warlick/Hart Graphics for over 30 years.
Arthur was an active softball player in the Pan American Softball League, and also was an avid bowler and called the original Dart Bowl home.
Arthur enjoyed the company of his lifelong group of friends, whether it was dancing the night away or playing cards on Friday nights. He had a robust laugh and enjoyed making others laugh at his tall-tales and corny jokes. He was a passionate follower of the Washington Redskins.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home located at 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at the Mausoleum of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
