August R. Kalina Jr.

He attended Durham College, served four years in the Army at Fort Bliss and worked as a CPA for Nelson-Puett & Associates for forty-one years. He was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and loved singing in the choir and playing handbells in services there.

August is preceded in death by his parents August R and Rosie Juhn Kalina,

his brother Melvin, sister-in-law Lilli Kalina and their son David Roy Kalina.

Surviving are a loving wife of 59 years, Doris Rader Kalina, daughter Jolene & son-in-law Greg Mehok, sister- in-law Albina Rader and nieces Ann Livingston, Ruthell Ralls, Cheryl Rader and nephews Martin Rader and Edmund Rader.

A Memorial Service celebrating August Kalina's life will be in the Sanctuary of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6800 Woodrow in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. with a fellowship meal served afterward in Fellowship Hall.

Thanks to the nurses at Burnet Road Nursing Care for their help this last year with him. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions to August R. Kalina, Jr Memorial Fund may be made honoring our beloved August Kalina.
