Bill worked for the Texas Health Department as a data processor and traveled to various locations installing computers for the Texas Health Department. He retired after 33 years of working with the Texas Health Department. He also was in the National Guard for 22 years. Bill loved to help coach his sons little league baseball team while they were growing up. After retirement he worked at various part time jobs to stay active, being social meeting new people, and to also not drive his beloved wife crazy. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Georgetown. He enjoyed family, his 2 dogs, watching western movies, TV shows and, his two favorite football teams the Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. Bill was friendly to his neighbors and loved to talk with them on his way to checking the mail.
Bill is survived by his wife Nancy Stramler; his children Keith Stramler (wife Esther), Steven Stramler (wife Olga), and Julianne Lake. Grandchildren; Joshua Lake, Dr. Erin Lake (husband Jacob Martin), Caleb Lucio, and Chelsey Lucio.
Those who predeceased Bill are his parents Ben Stramler and Ada Stramler; sister Aloma Strauss; and brother Alvin Stramler.
A visitation for Bill will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2022 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Following the service will be a committal at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
