Brad married the love of his life, Dawn Darla Daly on October 11, 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona. They lived the first 13 years of their marriage in Oroville, California surrounded by a multitude of loving relatives. They also welcomed their 3 children during that time.
Brad and Dawn relocated from California to Austin, Texas in 1993 and Brad realized his dream of having a cattle ranch not long after in Thrall, Texas. They then officially became known as the Texas Leens.
Once established in Texas, Brad built Truitt Group: a Real Estate Development and Commercial & Residential Construction Company. While he loved that business, his favorite hobby and passion were his herd of Simmental cattle. He could often be found in the mornings and evenings riding around on his Polaris checking his herd, with a Diet Dr. Pepper in hand and Doc the cowdog by his side.
Brad was known to be a friend to many, and always made time in his busy schedule to stop and listen if a friend needed help. He knew how to brighten your day or offer a word of encouragement. He was a bright light, always with a positive outlook on life. If there were 3 words that perfectly sum up Brad, they would be generous, kind, and humorous.
Brad made his choice to serve the Lord as a young child. Both Brad and Dawn’s parents instilled in them the importance of putting God first place in their lives, something they are both eternally grateful for. He was thankful for the opportunity to be an elder and have a meeting in his & Dawn’s home for many years, often telling Dawn how much he loved his little flock. He and Dawn cherished the many times they had the privilege of having God’s servants and saints in their home over the years.
Brad is survived by his wife & best friend, Dawn, and their three children; daughter Lacey Lokken and her husband Keith; daughter Tessa Howell and her husband Eric; and son Logan Leen and his wife Michelle, all of Thrall, Texas; his loving parents, Donald and Diane Leen, of Weiser, Idaho; brother Hayden Leen and his wife Sharon of Cambridge, Idaho; brother Irv Leen and his wife Alita of Midvale, Idaho; and his sister Molly Faulkner of Oroville, California; and his precious grandchildren: Jaxton, Elin, London, Juni, Oakland, Asher, Gunnar and Hudson. He’s also survived by numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
