Here’s another cherished Phamily story about Brandon that speaks volumes about who he was. Earlier in the day, my mom had been cooking and accidentally burned herself. It wasn’t a major burn. Later, as she stepped outside, she ran into Brandon and mentioned her little mishap during their conversation. 

Without missing a beat, Brandon sprang into action. He rushed back to his house and came right back with burn ointment and a band-aid. He went the extra mile, as he always did and helped my mom apply the ointment, wrap her burn with the band-aid, making sure it was done just right with a kiss to make it better! 

Always going out of his way to care for others, even in the smallest of moments. What could have been a quick conversation turned into a perfect example of his generosity, empathy, and dedication to helping those around him. His kindness wasn’t just present in grand gestures; it was woven into the everyday acts of care and compassion that made such an impact on those lucky enough to know him.

Brandon’s actions that day may have seemed simple, but they left a lasting impression. They’re a testament to his profound character; a person who didn’t just care about others, but showed that care in practical and heartfelt ways. Brandon’s ability to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary through his kindness is what made him truly unforgettable.

There’s a story my Phamily will never forget. One day, my mom went to pick up Andrew from school, but Andrew, in one of his adventurous moods, decided he’d walk home on his own without letting anyone know. As you can imagine, my mom and Andrew completely missed each other. By the time my mom got to the school, Andrew was nowhere to be found. Panic started to set in as she worried about where he could be.

Meanwhile, Andrew did make it home, but there was just one problem—he didn’t have a way to get inside the house. Brandon happened to be around and with his sharp mind and kind heart, quickly pieced the situation together. He invited Andrew to play ball in our yard, cleverly positioning themselves where my mom would see him the moment she returned home. 

Brandon, thank you for watching out for my brother and for being the kind of person who steps in when others need help. Your actions that day didn’t just ensure Andrew was safe—they gave my mom peace of mind during a chaotic moment. You are an angel, and we’ll always be grateful for your kindness. Your care and thoughtfulness made all the difference.

Josie and Mike, we would like to express our family's deepest and most heartfelt sympathies regarding the loss of your son, Brandon.  Words seem so trite, but we wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Brandon was one of the happiest people I knew with an infectious smile that brought everyone around him joy. I would even say the best smile! If everyone could be just a little more like Brandon, the world would be a much better place. We will never forget you and your cheerful spirit will live on in all of us.

Brandon, 

I was sad to hear that you had passed recently. I always thought you were a great guy, you were the kind of person that seemed like you’d never met a stranger. We went our separate ways shortly after high school, but I wish that we could have kept in touch, and hung out a time or two. I’m glad that I at least got to know you in the time that I did, and even to this day I still considered you my friend. When I saw that you had passed it felt like I had just lost as good of a friend as we were back in the day. I found this photo of us after our last game as the T&C Astros our senior year acting like we had just won a championship which we didn’t; this is one of my favorite memories of ours together. I also found a picture of us hanging out during our Outdoor Adventures class the same year, and I was grateful to have pictures of these memories we made together. I’ll always be able to enjoy your memory when I look at those pictures. I miss the good times we used to have, and I know you’ll be missed by anyone and everyone that knew you. Rest in peace my friend.

Condolences to the family and friends of Brandon. Although I did not personally know Brandon—I do remember his sweet smile, the sparkle in his eyes and his friendly demeanor every time I entered Gold’s Gym .  May he rest in eternal peace.

I knew Brandon in high school as we graduated the same year. Brandon always knew how to light up a room with his infectious personality!

Brandon was such a sweet man! He made coming into my workout at Golds Gym so much easier and loved talking about his son. My condolences and may his spirit live on.

Brandon’s spirit was one that touched everyone lucky enough to know him. He had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen and understood, always offering laughter and joy that brightened even the darkest moments. His genuine heart and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Though he’s no longer with us, his memory lives on in the countless lives he touched.

I could share thousands of moments where Brandon put others first, always putting their needs ahead of his own without hesitation. His devotion taught me the true meaning of family and what it really means to be there for one another. He had a big heart and led with love. This is a lesson I’ll carry with me forever. I hope you know how much I love you, bro, and how much you will be missed, beyond words.

To say you’ll be missed is such an understatement. You brought so much light to everyone who knew you—your great bear hugs provided a deep sense of comfort, your joy and laughter was infectious, your boundless love was given so freely, and the way you made everyone feel like they belonged is a gift very few possessed. I hope you knew you brought joy to every room I ever had the pleasure to see you enter. I hope you knew the impact you had by simply making people feel seen, loved, and important.

To know you was a blessing. To be your friend was a honor. You taught me so much about family and love, about laughter, and about embracing life with open arms. I am better because of you. I’ll always cherish the memories of growing up with you, the summers we spent outside, and the way you and your family embraced me. I’ll never be able to adequately express the depth of my love and gratitude. 

I miss you. More than you can imagine. But they say, “Those we love never truly leave us. They walk beside us in quiet moments, whispering in the wind, smiling in the warmth of the sun, and living forever in the echoes of our laughter.” And I look forward to those moments in the future - the moments where the sun’s warmth feels like a hug from you and laughter brings a vivid evocation of jokes shared with you.

Your love, your light, and your spirit live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know you.
