Carrie Ann Johnson

Carrie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many in the Georgetown and Austin communities.

Born on March 15, 1947, in Bell County, Texas, Carrie was the beloved daughter of Charles A. Goodnight and Lois B. Kee Goodnight.

Carrie was a wonderful cook who loved to travel, particularly to beach destinations, with a special fondness for Florida. She cherished spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to garden and feed the birds especially hummingbirds. She loved to sit and watch them eat from the feeder.

Carrie enjoyed a long career with IBM before retiring. She later worked part-time at Dell Webb Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. It was at IBM where she met the love of her life, David Johnson. They were married in January 1987 and shared 36 beautiful years together until David’s passing in March 2024.

Carrie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David (Dave) Johnson; her parents, Charles and Lois Goodnight; and her sister, Brenda Goodnight. She is survived by her loving children, daughter Carol Middleton and son Troy Lovell; her son-in-law John Middleton of Austin; and daughter-in-law Sugi Lovell of Cibolo, her grandchildren Amanda, Cayley, Kyle, Cody, and Kaci. and her great-grandchildren Gabriel, Connor, Rhylee, and Michael Jr

Carrie’s warmth, generosity, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service for Carrie will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
