Charles Beutnagel was born on July 1, 1933 at Floresville, Texas, to parents Elsie and Ortwin Beutnagel. Charles graduated from Floresville High School in May of 1951 and was Salutatorian of his class. On August 29, 1954, Charles married Ruth Belle Krueger at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seguin. Charles went into the Army soon after. They moved to Austin in September of 1955. After many years of evening classes, he earned his degree in Business Administration from St. Edward's University. Charles was a member of the Civitan Club of Austin, and he and Ruth were long-time members of Faith Lutheran Church in Austin.
Charles died and went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, exactly two years after Ruth’s death.
Charles is survived by his son Kevin and wife, Peggy; son Timothy and wife, Linda; grandchildren Beth Rountree and husband, Aaron; Christopher Beutnagel and wife, Adrianne; Adam Beutnagel and wife, Zendy; Jonathan Beutnagel and wife, Jessica; and Desi Herron and husband, Landon; and Great Grandchildren Erika Rountree, Matthew Rountree, Ada Beutnagel, Ari Beutnagel, Joshua Beutnagel, Jordan Beutnagel, and Skyler Beutnagel.
Charles is also survived by his brother William Beutnagel and wife, Anita; his nephew James and wife, Shannon; niece Carolyn Schulze and husband, Richard; sister-in-law Helen Cochran; nephew Fredlein Strey and wife, Susan; and nieces, Lisa Dow, and husband Mike, and Wendy Cochran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Beutnagel; his parents, Oma and Opa/Elsie and Ortwin H. Beutnagel; his brothers, Ortwin and Elvin; and his sister, Leona Frank.
The Committal service will immediately follow this service in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
