

Cherie had multiple Bachelors and Masters degrees in History, English and Library Science. She graduated High School from Silsbee High School. She attended University at Lamar University, The University of Texas at Austin, Texas Women's University and The University of Houston Clear Lake. Cherie had many different jobs through out her life. Cherie enjoyed archival work. She worked at the LBJ Library restoring documents and pictures for a short time. Mainly Cherie was an educator. She substituted, worked as a paraprofessional, taught second grade and most recently was librarian at Pioneer Crossing Elementary. Cherie also led a girl scout troop and taught technology and summer programs with Girl Scouts of Central Texas. Cherie was a Methodist and was always eager to be involved in her local church community. Most recently Cherie was a member of Manor United Methodist Church in Manor, Texas. Cherie was vibrant and energetic and spread happiness wherever she went. She was greatly admired by her friends and her students.
Cherie is survived by her mother Linda Carol Allen, her father Edward Ernest Allen Jr., her brother Joel Allen, her sister Leslie Allen, her husband David Baker, her son Riordan Baker and her daughter Kelsey Baker.
