He was born on August 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas to Errol Coleman Murphy and Shirley (Hoffmann) Murphy. He attended Pflugerville High School. Chris was a Master Plumber and owned ATX Plumbing Company. He was also a member of River Bend Church in Austin.
He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, watching baseball and football games, spending time with his family, being outdoors and going to the mountains. He was a huge fan of the Houston Astros and the University of Texas Longhorns.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his mother, Shirley Murphy; his brother, Chad Murphy; his son, Colton Murphy; his beloved Malti-Poo, Honey; his partner, Alaina Fletcher and her daughters, Madison Fletcher and Karis Fletcher. He is preceded in death by his father, Errol Murphy.
A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
