Confesor Gomez Marquez, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 in Temple,Texas. He was born on July 25, 1944 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, the son of Sabino Gomez and Juanita Marquez.
Confesor was a prolific singer, songwriter, bassist, ukulele and guitar player. Singer of several bands in Illinois during his earlier years. Exceptional high school soccer athlete and excelled in boxing and wrestling. He was a 1963 graduate of Escuela Ponce de Leon. He worked at Caterpillar as a forklift operator for many years. He married Adria Elena Rodriguez-Correa on April 24, 1965.
Preceded in death by his parents Sabino Gomez and Juanita Marquez, wife Adria Elena Rodriguez-Correa, nephews Jose R.Viera-Gomez, Luis Edgar Rodriguez and Jose Cardona Jr., nieces Wilma Cardona and Melissa Viera-Gomez. He is survived by his brother Israel Gomez, sisters Gladys Gomez and Josefina Gomez-Viera, brother in laws, Luis O. Rodriguez and Jose Viera, daughters, Adria Gomez and Dagmar Ramirez; sons, Marco Gomez and Luis Carlo Gomez; granddaughters, Karina Ramirez, Zara Gomez and Dania Gomez; grandson Kevin A.Ramirez, nieces Yaritza Viera-Gomez, Mildred Cardona,Wanda Cardona, and Ana Rodriguez, several nieces and nephews, and all of his friends.
A Funeral Service in memory of Confesor will be held at a later date.
