Mr. Martinka first touch my heart when he hired me in 1993. Told me to relax "Friend" you already have the job. He will be sorely missed not only by me , but everyone he came in contact with.

 I am so sorry to read of Dan 's passing. I remember of all the fun times we all had at Rices Crossing. Dan was always full of fun and laughter and I considered him as one of my special friends and i know that he now rests in the arms of the LORD.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have met Daniel....a man with a heart as big as Texas itself!  I even had the chance to enjoy the beef brisket when he brought it the whole way to Pennsylvania last summer.  I'm sure he's up there is heaven chatting with the angels in the snakeskin boots and cowboy hat!  God bless

Daniel J. Martinka, Texas original. I worked with Dan for a number of years over at the old Webberville yard. He was the night shift supervisor and what a character he was and what a joy to work for. I have some of my fondest memories working with Dan. Always referred to Mary as "My lovely bride" 
Mary, please except my deepest sympathies. There are no men better then Dan. God bless and watch over you and your family during these difficult of times.

We are shocked and saddened by Mr. Martinka's passing. We were always greeted with a HUGE smile by him when we attended some local auctions that he frequented. He was quite a character and we enjoyed our conversations with him immensely. Our prayers are with you and your family, Mary, during this sad and difficult time.

I always enjoyed working with Dan, we had some great conversations too. We may not have seen eye to eye on everything but we had a great deal of respect for each other. I am saddened to hear of his passing and my deepest heart felt condolences go to his family.

Uncle Dan , we know you are in a better place with no more pain.   Its been a long time but you get to see your little brother, Cornell, your dad and Granny again.
