She was born on June 17, 1981 in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Diana (Gonzales) and Richard Fonseca. Darlene loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, was a practical joker, and she LOVED Prince. She was a true warrior, having battled breast cancer for two and a half years with strength, courage and determination in her fight.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Fonseca. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her mother, Diana Fonseca; daughter, Destiny Fonseca; grandchildren, Sapphire and Don Aguilar; and her sisters, Denise Gonzales, Debbie Ayala and Dayna Fonseca. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Darlene will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A celebration of Darlene's life will occur Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:30 p.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery located of Howard Lane & North Interstate 35.
