David Van Nguyen

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on November 29, 2014 at Holy Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church, 1107 E. Yager Lane, Austin, Texas. Pastor Msgr. Joe Anh Van Nguyen will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 6:00PM on November 28, 2014 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas. Prayer service will follow the visitation at 6:30PM.

David was born in Vinh, Nghe An, Vietnam, on September 10, 1937. He was South Vietnamese Army veteran before 1975.

David had an unwavering faith in God. He was a dedicated member of Union of the Sacred Heart of Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church in Austin, Texas for many years.

David enjoyed working, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.

David is survived by his lovely wife of 44 years, Diem Nguyen; along with eight children; John and Hanah Nguyen of Dallas, Texas, Peter and KimAnh Nguyen of Austin, Texas, Chau and ThuTrang Vo of Leander, Texas, Tuan and Ha Nguyen of San Jose, California, Nhut and Thuan Dang of Pflugerville, Texas, Hoa and Hong Nguyen of Pflugerville, Texas, Binh Nguyen of Austin, Texas, and Johnny and Ngoc Nguyen of Austin, Texas; 12 grand children, Kelvin Nguyen, Vivian Nguyen, Vivi Nguyen, Christina Vu, Anthony Vo, Hanah Nguyen, Evi Nguyen, Kaydin Dang, Kaelyn Dang, Kayla Dang, Jovi Nguyen, Joxi Nguyen; three siblings, Vuong Nguyen of Vietnam, Thien Nguyen of Austin, Texas, and Chu Nguyen of Vietnam; and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.
