Faith, family and friends were the most important things in Dave’s life, as well as his music. The door to his home was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay. One of his most cherished times was his annual Christmas party. As soon as one was over, he was planning the next on.
Dave always stressed the value of education. He had a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology and a Master’s in Business Administration. Dave worked for the State of Texas in network engineering for many years. This included the Attorney General’s Office, the Department of Human Services, and Texas Youth Commission.
Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Varley, his first wife, Kathryn Robison and his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Hilda Theis.
He is survived by his wife Terri, his stepson and wife, David and Rachel Maldonado and their sons, John and Colin, his stepdaughter Laura Pomeroy and her fiancé Grant Meador, his father Claude Robison, brother Steve Robison, sisters Julie (John) Lackey, Barbara (Louis) Robichaux, Aunt and Uncle Ruth Ann and Tom Smith, in-laws Bill and Jane Bacon and Joyce Osgood, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would also like to express their thanks to friends Pete Mitcheltree, Rheema Mitcheltree, Kerry Franklin, Efrain Resendez, Dennis Willbern, and Frank and Deb Gallagher, who were always there for him during this long and trying time. Every visit, phone call and message always lifted his spirits and reminded him of the best of times. Also, a very special thank you to his hospice nurses, Nancy and Dawn, for their loving care during his last weeks, and Chaplain Steve for tending to his spiritual needs as well.
And let us all remember, Dave would want everyone to celebrate the good times in his life and to go on celebrating for him in the future.
