Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. She was deeply devoted to the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet and was known for her constant prayers for others.
Fina’s many talents included cooking, gardening, sewing, crochet, and needlepoint. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: completing word search puzzles on her porch, savoring a Dr Pepper, working jigsaw puzzles, coloring, and playing Bingo—often for hours. She especially enjoyed piña coladas and was always ready for a spontaneous shopping trip or family outing.
She was a loyal and trusted friend, a steady and prayerful presence, and a woman of great generosity, strength, and independence. Above all, Fina was a pillar of unwavering love and support to her family.
In her final years, she received loving care from Julie Galindo, Mary Ruth Jonse, Ricky Lopez, Karen Ritch, and Kathy Guajardo. Surrounded by family and embraced in love, Fina approached her final days with peace and grace, expressing readiness to be with her Lord.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. David’s Medical Center and Hospice Austin’s Christopher House for their compassionate care.
