Dora Delores Lara Munoz, age 86 of Austin, Texas was born in Austin and peacefully entered eternal rest in her beloved hometown. Dora lived a life rooted in family, love, and open arms, leaving behind a legacy that will continue for generations.
She is loving survived by her devoted husband, Robert Munoz Sr.; her sisters, Angelina Serrano and Mary Lara; and her children, Robert Munoz Jr., Jimmy Castro, Anthonio Castro, and Mary Acosta. Dora was the proud matriarch of a large and loving family, celebrating the lives of 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Dora was welcomed into heaven by her parents, siblings, and her beloved children, Alexander Castro, Daniel Castro Jr., Larry Castro and Richard Castro, whom she carried forever in her heart.
Family was the center of Dora’s life. She had a beautiful gift for celebrating life and welcoming love into her home with warmth, kindness, and unconditional love. To know Dora was to feel accepted, cherished, and valued. Her laughter, strength, and hard-working spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Dora’s love lives on in the countless lives she touched and in the generations that carry her spirit forward. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
A visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, on January 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.
Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
